Provides information about adolescent health risk-taking behaviors as well as ways to speak with your children about sex and sexuality.

Talking with Kids About Tough Issues
Provides adults with tips to speaking with kids about issues related to sex, violence, drugs, alcohol, and HIV/AIDS.

Families Are Talking
La Familia Habla (in Spanish)
A SIECUS Report Supplement that offers parents and other adults with additional publication resources to assist them in speaking with children and teens about sexuality issues. Simply click on the newsletter and topic that you would like to view.

SIECUS Resources for Families
Simply click on the link to access an archive of past newsletters on various topics such as puberty, body image and self-esteem, the media, sexuality education, HIV/AIDS, abstinence, and family diversity. Also available in Spanish. This page also provides additional resources and publications for communicating with your children.

Kids Health

National Crime Prevention Council - Teens, Crime, and the Community
Offers information and resources for both parents and teens regarding issues related to guns, bullies, drugs, and strangers. Information in English and Spanish.

4 Girls Health
Developed by the Office on Women’s Health and the National Women’s Health Information Center, the web site was created for girls ages 10 to 16 and focuses on many health topics that respond to adolescent girls’ health concerns such as . It motivates girls to choose healthy behaviors using positive, supportive and non-threatening messages.

BAM! Body and Mind
Created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this site provides information kids 9 to 13 years old about healthy lifestyle choices such as stress and physical fitness.

Girl Power!
Girl Power! is a national public health education campaign sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Targeted to 9 to 13 year old girls, this site contains positive health messages to the needs, interests, and challenges of girls. Phone: 800-729-6686.

Teens Health, the Nemours Foundation
Website presents health information for teens and parents. Provides accurate information and advice about health, relationships, and growing up.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
FDA Consumer magazine periodically runs articles with important health information for teenagers, ranging from nutrition and sun safety to eating disorders and attention deficit disorder. Just click on the health issue you’d like to learn more about.

Iwannaknow Web Site – American Social Health Association (ASHA)
This website is operated by the American Social Health Association (ASHA) and provides answers to questions regarding teen sexual health and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

Kids' Connection is a special section of the American Academy of Dermatology’s web site, which provides children, ages eight through adolescence, with information about dermatology.
